Both type 1 and type 2 diabetes cause the suffering of the chronic disease. Type 1 diabetes— where the body's immune system attacks and destroys the cells that produce insulin. The causes of this destructive process are not fully understood but a likely explanation is that the combination of genetic susceptibility (conferred by a large number of genes) and an environmental trigger such as a viral infection, initiate the autoimmune reaction. Type 1 diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases in childhood.

Type 2 diabetes – where the body does not produce enough insulin, or the body's cells do not react to insulin. Type 2 diabetes account for the vast majority of diabetes worldwide, accounting for over 90% of all diabetes worldwide.

To raise awareness and improve overall educations of diabetes, We and our partners BioHermes , launched diabetes day events this year in multiple locations such as South Africa and India to highlight the importance and exchange ideas on diabetes related topics. Activities such as on-site free testing, new product launching, educational seminars etc., were conducted to engage with the local communities and business partners.
