With the fast pasting lifestyle we adapts now, more and more people are developing the chronic condition, diabetes! Statistically, diabetes is increasing in the predicated rate of 46% per year, with the sharpest increase in Africa region, Middle East region and North America.

Both type 1 and type 2 diabetes cause the suffering of the chronic disease. Type 1 diabetes— where the body's immune system attacks and destroys the cells that produce insulin. The causes of this destructive process are not fully understood but a likely explanation is that the combination of genetic susceptibility (conferred by a large number of genes) and an environmental trigger such as a viral infection, initiate the autoimmune reaction. Type 1 diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases in childhood.

Type 2 diabetes – where the body does not produce enough insulin, or the body's cells do not react to insulin. Type 2 diabetes account for the vast majority of diabetes worldwide, accounting for over 90% of all diabetes worldwide.

Both diabetes can cause series complications such as common diabetes health complications include heart disease, chronic kidney disease, nerve damage, and other problems with feet, oral health, vision, hearing, and mental health.

BioHermes has been focus on studying and helping our customers dealing with diabetes management over decades. To raise awareness and improve overall educations of diabetes, We and our partners BioHermes , launched diabetes day events this year in multiple locations such as South Africa and India to highlight the importance and exchange ideas on diabetes related topics. Activities such as on-site free testing, new product launching, educational seminars etc., were conducted to engage with the local communities and business partners.
