From July 19th to 21st, 2024, the 12th Vietnam Scientific Conference on Diabetes Endocrinology and Metabolic Disorders, organized by the Vietnam Association of Diabetes and Endocrinology (VADE), was successfully concluded in Da Nang. This conferences started a new phase in the development of endocrinology-diabetes diagnosis and treatment in Vietnam .

VADE is directly led by the Ministry of Health and the Medical Association of Vietnam, and is a member of Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) Endocrinology Association, the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE) and the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). More than 1,100 experts, doctors and scholars, 19 medical exhibitors attended this prestigious conference.

The president of the VADE, Professor Tran Huu Dang gave an opening speech at the conference. More than 100 reports on overview articles and scientific research topics were presented in different halls. The speakers included professors and doctors specializing in endocrine and metabolic diseases, from medical universities, general or specialized hospitals in Vietnam's medical centers (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, etc.).
